St Lucia in Pictures

As much as I’ve said about Bryan and I enjoying our return to the “real world,” I could say just as much about how quickly we’d jump at the chance to re-experience absolute relaxation (sans-school schedules), exotic scenery, delicious fruits (mangoes were so plentiful cars regularly run over them on the road) and the newness of calling each other “husband” and “wife.”

The island of St. Lucia is incredibly mountainous; every ocean view is breathtaking.

So, without further commentary, I’ll let our favorite photos speak for themselves:

1
Our first meal there: seafood and blue rum drinks.
4
We did a lot of hiking: this is the view of Rodney Bay from Pigeon Island.
6
Rodney Bay: where we spent the first 3 days.

3
Fort Rodney on Pigeon Island.
5
Our first snorkeling adventure took place here.
8
We rented a car and Bryan learned to drive on the left side of the road (!).
7
Rodney Bay in the evening.
9
St. Luca’s distillery tour included an unlimited rum tasting!
10
More hiking – from the southern part of the island this time.
11
Petit Piton.
12
The chocolate restaurant (YUM!).
13
Anse Mamin – our favorite beach.

16
Touch only with your eyes.

Sulphur springs mud bath (Bryan wouldn’t let me get a picture of him!).

One of my favorites.
