The Pacific Northwest: North Cascades and Vancouver.

We returned last week from a two-week vacation in the Pacific Northwest. I’m going to flood this post with pictures because I don’t know how else to explain everything we did. But here is a snapshot of the first 5 days of the trip. We traveled to North Cascades National Park, Vancouver, and Whistler.

We began our journey from the Seattle airport with Chipotle and a brief stop at Snoqualmie Falls along the way. We quickly learned, however, that Seattle traffic was not something to laugh about. But we did enjoy the scenery!

We spent that night in the little-known town of Sedro-Wolley and woke to hike in the grand North Cascades National Park which had so much breathtaking scenery! We decided it’s on our return-to list – although we were all definitely struggling near the end with the elevation climb and the heat we had that day.

We spent two nights in Sedro-Wolley, and then drove to Vancouver for the night where we biked around Stanley Park (also incredible views) and stayed in a 30th floor Air B&B apartment. I can’t believe people actually live that high up.

Next up: Whistler & Vancouver Island, and Seattle, Olympic, & Rainier!
